Welcome to Compassion Compass! A podcast focused on honest and vulnerable conversations about the self-compassion journey.

I am Regina Lazarovich, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist and the host of Compassion Compass. I have worked in diverse settings, including hospital, community health center, university counseling center, and private practice. I have helped people with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and disordered eating. My experiences as a psychologist and a human being inspired me to create Compassion Compass.

While everyone recognizes that compassion toward others is worthwhile and important, too few of us recognize the fundamental role that self-compassion plays in happiness, health, and relationships. We live in a society that encourages us to beat ourselves up in order to gain power, status, and other people’s positive regard. Nonetheless, self-flagellation and anchoring our self-worth in external sources of validation only leads us to feel more anxious, insecure, and disconnected from ourselves and others. This knowledge compelled me to create Compassion Compass, a space to hold real and raw conversations about the self-compassion journey. My goal is to help listeners orient their compassion compass inward in order to better weather the storms of life.

It is my sincere wish for this podcast be of benefit to you!
